This week on Perspectives we will have a roundtable discussion on Media Responsibilities in Zambia. The issue of media freedoms and censorship continue to be thorny in our society. Every successive government has grappled with the push for an independent media and much of the response has centred on intimidation, aggressive censorship, and court battles.
As Zambians what are our expectations for how media should operate? Do we have a desire for balanced reporting on stories or do we prefer the status quo – skewed reporting for or against the government?
Please join us for what promises to be a lively discussion. Perspectives airs live at 8 a.m. PST, 11 a.m. EST, 16 hrs GMT, 17 hrs CAT.
