Megan Meyer – June 4, 2011

Megan Meyer has been very active in mobilizing material and financial resources to Africa. As an advocate, dreamer, and free spirit, Megan Meyer is the nation’s first president of the Dental Therapy program, a new mid-level provider position at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.  Since 2006, she’s led two dental outreach trips that treated over 650 patients in 12 villages, raised over $200,000 worth of donated medical equipment, and built a health library with over 7,500 books.

Megan currently holds the positions of UMN Medical Relief Corps member, Dental Student Council representative, Hispanic Dental Association officer, Global Perspectives officer, Kilimanjaro Society member, and Books for Africa Ambassador’s Circle member.
