An exciting month, this has been. We have discussed the business sense of the education system in Zambia. We close the topic by discussing government, private and international scholarships. Joining the discussion are Mr Peter Kasaji, Thomas Gussie and Gwendolyn Pate.
Thomas Gussie, originally from New Jersey, is the Vice President of Global Student Exhange (GSE) Inc. GSE is an international study abroad company located just outside Jacksonville Florida. They work with global connections for long term collaborations to identify and place qualified secondary students ages 13 – 18 yrs old in one of their 55-60 private boarding and day high schools across the U.S. The program is a springboard for students whose ultimate goal is to study at college/university in the U.S.
Gwendolyn Pate has been in higher education for 29 years. In those years, with some overlapping, she has served 19 years as coordinator of college ambassador program and has been in advising and counselling for 13 years. She is a former college recruiter and has worked on pre-college programs for Urban Youth. Currently she is an instructor for freshman classes.
